Bernardo Zanotta (Porto Alegre, 1996) is a Brazilian visual artist and filmmaker based in Amsterdam. His projects are often informed by the history of sexuality as well as by theatre and literature. Zanotta holds a bachelor degree in Moving Image from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie (Amsterdam, NL) where he is currently a fellow at LAPS (Research Institute for Art and Public Space). His films have screened at festivals such as Locarno and Oberhausen, amongst others, and streamed on platforms such as Kinoscope. Recent exhibtions include Make Room! Make Room! (Nieuwe Vide, 2018), Play With Fire (PS Mirabel, 2018) and Mattering Matter (Hotel Maria Kapel, 2016). He collaborates with the production companies If You Hold a Stone (BR), Near/by film (NL) and Venin (FR).
